A ready-made (subscription) tool is great when your processes fit the standard: cheap and instant. Custom wins when the way you work is your competitive edge, when no package really covers your flow, or when you're paying growing fees for features you don't use. On the call we figure out honestly which one fits — sometimes I'll point you to the off-the-shelf option myself.
Often yes, over the medium term. A subscription looks cheap, but multiplied by users and years it adds up: a few euros per user per month, across many users, over five years can exceed a custom system — which stays yours forever, with no fee that keeps rising. The calculator lets you compare on your actual case.
It depends on scope. A first useful module can ship to production in a few weeks; a full management system takes longer. I work iteratively with regular checkpoints, so you see progress along the way instead of waiting months in the dark.
Yes, completely. The Git repository is registered to your company, the app runs on your infrastructure (cloud or in-house — your choice), and your data stays yours and exportable at any time. No lock-in: if you ever want to switch developer, you take the code and data and go.
